How To Localize

VitaeWho support English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and Russian.  The native language is English, the translations are a combination of Google and Bing Translate.  To temporarily change the settings, you can just select the language button on the main page.  This will leave the page headers unchanged (probably English) and affect the displayed pages.  So what you will see is something like this:

When the web page is closed and you revisit the VitaeWho page, the language will revert back to whatever was set in your profile culture setting.

To make a language permanent for your account, regardless of what computer you are using, you will need to adjust your profiles culture setting.  That setting is not accessible until you have logged in, . . . something that you cannot do until you have registered with the site.  Once registered and logged in, the Login bar in the above image will display:

Select the Profile link a modify the culture setting, in this example we chose French.

If you choose a language other than one of the supported languages, the program will simply default to English.  For each of the supported languages, there are numerous variations.  For example, French is spoken in Belgium, Canada, France, Luxembourg, Monaco and Switzerland.  VitaeWho will default them all to French (France).

In order to take full advantage of the culture settings, it is presumed that if you change your profile culture setting to Spanish, your computer is actually localized to that culture for normal operation!!!!
